“Cada ser humano nace como algo nuevo, como algo que no existía antes; como un ser distinto dotado de todo lo necesario para triunfar en la vida. Individualmente, cada persona puede ver, oír, tocar, gustar y pensar por sí misma. Además, cada una tiene sus propias potencialidades, sus capacidades y limitaciones. Por derecho propio, cada una puede ser una persona importante, pensante, consciente y productivamente creadora; en una palabra, posee todos los atributos necesarios para ser un triunfador.”
Muriel James y Dorothy Jongeward. Nacidos para triunfar.
Years ago, in psychology class, during my last year of high school, we were assigned to read the book Born to Succeed, by Muriel James and Dorothy Jongeward. In the mid-nineties, in a strong personal crisis, I tried to find something that would allow me to work with my anger. I searched the book and in its pages I found the following exercise: lying on your back, slowly raise your arm to about forty-five degrees, then lower it to the same rhythm, repeat the exercise again and again following carefully the movement of the arm. This exercise motivated me to look for the source of the tranquility that I had begun to experience after practicing it on numerous occasions, that is how Tibetan Buddhism came to my life, first through Tony Karam, of Casa Tibet in Mexico and, later, through Shambhala. I followed the path of Shambahala in which I continued to practice. There are different ways to find inner peace, but my heart is still connected to this one that has led me to go beyond my imaginary borders.
"Every human being is born as something new, like something that did not exist before; as a different being endowed with everything necessary to succeed in life. Individually, each person can see, hear, touch, taste and think for themselves. In addition, each has its own potential, its capabilities and limitations. In their own right, each can be an important, thinking, conscious and productively creative person; in a word, it has all the necessary attributes to be a winner. “
